Derrick Thomas was one of the most explosive pass rushers in NFL history, a nine-time Pro Bowler who once recorded seven sacks in a single game and is enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He remains a cornerstone name for any collector building a Kansas City Chiefs legends collection.
What to collect
Thomas’ rookie cards from his 1989 draft era are the headline pieces of his market. Because he played in the “junk wax” era when print runs were enormous, condition and grade matter enormously — a high-grade example is worth far more than a raw, off-center one.
